1 c. shortening
1c. white sugar
1 c. pumpkin
1 egg
2 c. flour
1tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
optional 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Icing:

3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Mix first eight ingredients. Fold in the nuts and raisins. Bake on a cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.

Icing: Cook butter, milk, and brown sugar until
dissolved. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Frost cookies while they are warm.
