2 1/2 c flour
2 eggs
1 2/3 c sugar
2/3 c shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c mashed bananas
2/3 c buttermilk
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

1/3 c butter, softened
2 c powdered sugar
3 tsp bananas, mashed
1 tsp lemon juice

Mix all ingredients - stir well. pour batter into 9x13 greased pan - bake for apprx 30- 40 minutes @ 350 degrees.

Mix all icing ingredients well and spread on warm cake.
