1 baked 9" pie shell

Blend Throughly in a pan
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 tsp salt

Gradually add:
1 3/4 cup of milk

Blend in:
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp almond flavoring extract

Topping:
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup of whipped cream
Crushed strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Blend in a pan the sugar, flour, gelatin, and salt. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Place pan in cold water. Cool until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.

Blend in vanilla and almond flavoring.

Beat 3 eggs whites until stiff and add cream of tartar and gradually add 1/2 cup sugar. Beat until meringue is stiff and fluffy. Fold into cream mixture. Add 1 cup of coconut. Whip 1/2 cup of whipping cream and add to the mixture. Put in a baked pie shell. Top with crushed strawberries.
