1 3/4 c. - flour
1 tsp. - baking soda
1/2 tsp. - salt
1/2 c. - sugar
1 1/2 c. - brown sugar
1/2 c. - shortening
1/2 c. - peanut butter
1 tsp. - vanilla
1 - egg
2 T - milk
1 - bag of chocolate kisses

- mix flour, baking soda & salt and set aside
- cream sugars, shortening and peanut butter
- add vanilla, egg and milk
- slowly stir in the flour mixture
- roll into small balls; then roll balls in sugar
- bake for 5-7 min. at 350 on an ungreased cookie sheet
- take cookies out of oven and place a chocolate kiss in the middle of the cookie; then bake for 2-3 more minutes
