Grandma Sands Baked Beans

2 Lbs Great Northern Beans, Rinsed & Drained
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Onion, Sliced
1 Lb Salt Pork, Sliced
1/4 Cup Salt
2 Qt Water



Directions:
Directions:
Layer beans, meat, onion and brown sugar in crock. Repeat and cover with cold water. Cover and bake at 250 for 8-9 hours. Keep adding water to cover beans. Uncover near end to brown. Ham or other meat may be substituted for salt pork.
