2 (16 oz) cans, green beans
6 strips bacon, fried crisp
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 white onion, sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beans in their own juice about 15 minutes and drain. Mix sugar, vinegar, and bacon drippings, bring to a boil. Place drained beans in casserole dish. Put onion slices on top of beans. Pour boiling mixture over beans and onions. Place bacon on top of beans. Put in warm oven 150-200 degrees for 2-3 hours.
