This makes about 8-10 servings:

1-1.5 lb. lean ground beef (ground chuck, etc.)

1 medium yellow onion

1 bell pepper

1 large can tomatoes

1 large can tomato sauce

1 can light kidney beans

1 can dark kidney beans

1 package chili seasoning mix (regular or hot, your

choice; I use regular)

Lowery’s Seasoning Salt

Brown ground beef in a large pot. Season with

Lowery’s & pepper to taste. (I cover meat with

Lowery’s and add 1 teaspoon black pepper.)

When beef is brown throughout, add tomato

sauce, stir and bring to boil.

Add chili seasoning.

Add tomatoes, stir and bring to boil.

Add beans, diced onion and diced bell pepper, stir

and bring to boil.

Reduce heat to simmer for about an hour or two.

Serve with grated cheese and/or grilled cheese
