1 c cooking oats
1 c buttermilk
1 beaten egg
c brown sugar
1 c sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/3 c salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Soak oats in buttermilk for to 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients in order and beat slightly. Bake in greased tins at 375 about 20 minutes for large muffins or 10-15 minutes for smaller muffins.
