5 large red delicious apples
5 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 cups flour
2 ½ cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch salt
Juice of 1 small orange

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice apples and place in medium bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon. In another large bowl, add flour, sugar, oil, eggs, salt, juice of orange, vanilla, and baking powder. Mix with electric mixer until batter is smooth. In tube pan, alternate layering batter and apples, (layer of batter, layer of apples). On the top, pour remaining juice of apples. Bake at 350º for 1 hour 20 minutes, to 1 hour 30 minutes.
