1 cup soft shortening,
1 1/2 cups sugar,
2 eggs,
2 3/4 cups sifted flour,
2 tsp. cream of tartar,
1 tsp. soda,
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs,
sift together and stir in the rest.
Chill dough. Roll into aballs the size of small walnuts. Rollin a mixture of 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft. 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes
