1 1/2 cup flour,
3 tbsp. cocoa,
1 cup sugar,
1 tsp. soda and salt

sift above together into greased pan
make three holes in dry ingredients

1st. hole put 5 tbsp. melted shortening
2nd. hole put 1 tbsp. vinegar
3rd. hole put 1 tsp. vanilla

Pour 1 cup of cold water over whole thing. Mix until smooth.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes
