3/4 cup shortening,
1 cup sugar,
1/4 cup molasses,
1 egg,
2 tsp. baking soda,
2 cups flour,
1/2 tsp. cloves,
1 tsp. cinnamon,
1/2 tsp. salt,
1/2 tsp. vanilla,

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, molasses, egg and beat well. Add other ingredients and mix well. Form small balls and roll in sugar. Bake for 8-10 min. in 375º oven.
