pastry for two crust pie,
6 medium apples,
1 cup sugar,
2 cups water,
1/4 tsp. cinnamon,
3 tbsp. butter,
1/2 cup sugar,
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon,
1 tbsp. butter.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º. Roll out pastry and cut into squares. Pare and core apples. Boil next four ingredients for 3 min. Place apples on pastry squares. Fill apples with mix of sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Bring pastry up around apples, overlap and seal. Put in casserole. Pour syrup around, not over, apples. Serve with warm cream.
