2 Tbsp. Karo syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 can coconut
nuts, if desired
1 stick oleo
1 1/2 cups chopped dates
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups Rice Krispies
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy skillet. Add brown sugar and syrup. Mix in dates, egg, and vanilla. Return to heat and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat, beat. Add Rice Krispies. Mix thoroughly. Drop by small spoonsfuls in coconut and nuts if desired and roll. Place on wax paper until cool.
