1/2 c light molasses
1 c sugar
1 c shortening
1 c boiling water
1 T soda
1 t cloves
1 t cinnamon
6 T cocoa
2 eggs, beaten light
3 1/2 c flour
1 t vanilla
Chopped nuts-optional

Preheat oven to 350. Cream together wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookied sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes
