4 well beaten egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 pkg (1 lb) chopped dates
1 lb pecans
1 tsp vanilla
4 egg whites, beaten stiff

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge dates and nuts in flour. Set aside. Mix sugar and egg yolks. Add flour, baking powder, salt, nuts, dates to egg and sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in the 4 beaten egg whites. Bake 45 min in 350º oven. Store in closed tins.
