"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Chicken and Dumplings, by Lisa Corn, is from Our Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts salt and pepper to taste Ranch dressing mix 1 1/2 c. sour cream Canned biscuits, biscuit mix or homemade biscuits
Season chicken in crock pot with salt and pepper and Ranch dressing mix. Let it cook about 6 hours, until done. Mix in sour cream and place biscuits on top. Cook until biscuits are done-about 1/2 hour more.
You can do this in the Dutch Oven as well and cook it several hours. We also sometimes bake the biscuits and serve them on the side.
