1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 T. milk
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 T. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag (9 ozs.) Hershey kisses, plain or with almonds, unwrapped

Preheat oven to 350F. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until blended. Add eggs and milk and mix well. In a seperate mixing bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, blending well. Stir in chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-11 minutes and remove from oven. Press a kiss into each cookie and return to oven for 1 minute more. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
