Ingredients: 2 pkgs dry yeast 1 c milk ¼ c butter ½ c sugar 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 5 c flour

Directions: |
Directions:Soften yeast in 1/3 cup warm water. Scald milk and pour it over butter, sugar and salt. (COOL) Add yeast and eggs. Beat well and add flour to make a soft dough. Knead until the dough is shiny. Put it in a greased bowl and let it rise for about 2 hours. Knead down and divide the dough in two. Roll out dough on floured board. Roll out and spread with ¼ c melted butter and sprinkle with 1 c sugar and 3 Tbsp cinnamon; add raisins if wanted. Roll up the dough and cut into 1½" slices. Place side down in a greased pan. Raise for 2 hours. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes until a little golden. Drizzle with frosting made by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and a little cream cheese; a few Tbsp worth to make a thin frosting. Spread on rolls while warm. |

Notes: These are great. A true childhood memory. I don't know if I can make them without putting them in the long lime green tuperware container my mom has used for 25+ years!
