3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. ginger
1 lb. sirloin steak
1/3 c. cooking oil
2 c. chopped onion
1 3/4 c. beef broth
2 c. potatoes, diced or sliced
2 carrots, sliced

Combine flour, paprika, pepper and ginger. Cut steak into 1/2 inch cubes and dredge with flour mixture. Heat oil. Brown steak, stirring frequently. When cubes begin to brown, add onion and cook until mixture is well browned. Add beef broth. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for one hour. Add vegetables and cook 20 minutes more. Remove from heat. Let mixture cool. Prepare pie crust and pour slightly cooled meat mixture into pie plate, with bottom crust. Cover with vented top crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
