2 C. White Sugar 4 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 C. Oleo (2 sticks) 1 tsp. Soda
3 Eggs 1 tsp. Vanilla
1 C. Milk 1 tsp. Lemon
1/2 tsp. Salt 4 C. Flour, about

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oleo and sugar together, add eggs (one at a time), beat well after each. Alternate milk and flour mixing well after each. Before final mixing of flour, add salt, baking powder, soda and flavorings. Mix until smooth. Bake by dropping heaping tablespoons on floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes depending on how cookie looks. Sprinkle with sugar.

This recipe came from my son Bobby's wife, Faye. It was her Grandmother Audrey Engelman mother's recipe. I have made many batches of these and so has Mom. They are soft in texture and remind me of the Archway cookies that Grandma Josie Hummer use to eat.
