1 c. molasses
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
3/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda

Sauce:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
1 egg
1/2 pint whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients, add soda dissolved in water. Pour into well greased mold, 2/3 full. Steam on top of the stove for 1 1/2 hours in covered pan with water steaming (replace water as necessary).

Sauce: Mix butter and sugar. Add beaten egg. refrigerate. Whip 1/2 pint whipping cream with 1 tsp. vanilla. Serve over the pudding.
