DOUGH
1 cup warm water
1 package yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
2-1/2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons salad oil
1-1/4 cups water
6-1/2 cups flour
FILLING
1 cup poppy seed
1 egg
3/4 cup sugar
Few drops milk
Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Stir 1 cup water and yeast stirring until completely dissolved. Add sugar, salt and salad oil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add 1-1/4 cups water and stir until blended. Add 3 cups flour, beat until smooth. Add 3-1/2 cups more flour. Mix till blended. Turn out on board. Let rest for a few minutes. Knead until smooth. Place in greased bowl until double in bulk.
FILLING: Mix filling ingredients and stir constantly over low heat until this thickens.
Roll dough, cut with biscuit cutter, place 1 teaspoon filling on each, fold over and press tightly so filling is completely sealed in. Let rise. Fry in hot grease. Fry till brown. Roll in sugar.
