1 2/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon each cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg & allspice
1 egg
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 sliced almonds
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Grease muffin pans or line with paper baking cups. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg and stir in the butter and pumpkin. Add the dry mix to the wet mix, stirring until completely blended. Stir in almonds and chocolate chips. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 350º 20-25 minutes. Remove from pan to cool.
