1 lg (20 oz) can crushed pineapple 1 can (approx 1 cup) Mandarin oranges 1 carton small-curd cottage cheese 1 family size (or 2 regular) orange jello 1 lg (10 oz) Cool Whip
Mix drained fruit and dry jello. Fold in cottage cheese, then Cool Whip. Chill 1 to 2 hours. Serve on lettuce leaves as salad, or in compote as dessert, or in baked pie shell. May be topped with whipped cream, a cherry, or additional Mandarin orange sections.
