3 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
3 c. flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla
3 c. apples, chopped or grated
1 1/4 c. raisins, optional


1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/2 stick margarine
2 Tbsp rum

Mix eggs, oil, sugar. Add flour, salt, soda. Add vanilla, apples, nuts. Batter will be thick. Bake in tube pan 1 hour at 350.


Put half the glaze over cake while in pan. Cool 10 minutes. Turn out; drizzle remainder over cake.
