Cake:

2 C light brown sugar
1/2 C butter
2 eggs
3 oz. melted chocolate
1/2 t salt
2 C sifted flour - regular or cake
2 T. vinegar
3 t. vanilla
cold water
1 t. baking soda

Frosting:
2 squares of chocolate melted
1/2 stick of butter
1 egg
1 C confectioners sugar
1/3 C milk
1 t. vanilla
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, eggs, and chocolate and cool.
Put vanilla and vinegar in one cup and fill the rest with water, add baking soda (do this ove the bowl since it will react). Add flour alternately.

For the frosting, melt the butter and chocolate and cool. Place egg, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat to blend. Add cooled chocolate mixture and stir. Slowly add milk. Frosting should generously cover a 2 layer cake.
