1/4 cup butter
2 cups diced chicken (cooked) or turkey
2 cups celery
1 cup onion
1 1/2 cup broth or water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
About 3 tbsp. molasses
1 1/3 cup water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 can bean sprouts
1 can bamboo chesnuts
1 can water
1 can mushrooms or chinese veggies
corn starch for thickening

Directions:

Mix first seven ingredients. Cover anc cook 15 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients.
Right before serving add a little cornstarch to thicken. Serve over hard noodles or rice.

Gloria's recipe. This is reminiscent of the chow mein we used to get when we were kids growing up in Minneapolis. If you choose to freeze a portion of this dish, do not add the corn starch to that part you wish to freeze.
