1/4 cup melted margerine
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups flour
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1 t each cinnamon, ginger and cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together melted shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses. Stir together all dry ingredents and add to wet mixture.
Chill at least 2 hours or overnight. Shape into 3/4 inch balls and roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes in 350 º oven.
