1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup vodka
3/4 cup tomato puree
1 cup cream
5 ounces cooked ham, chopped fine
2 drops Tabasco sauce, to taste
1 lb penne
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion and garlic in butter over moderate heat, stirring, for 5 minutes, or until softened; add vodka and cook over moderately-high heat for 4 minutes.
Add puree and cream and cook over moderate heat, stirring, for 5 minutes.
Stir in ham, Tabasco and salt to taste.
Cook penne until al dente.
In a large serving bowl, toss penne with sauce.
Sprinkle Parmesan over and serve immediately.
