6 oz spaghetti
2 tbs butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 Lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 can (7 1/2 oz) tomatoes, cut up- undrained
1 can (6oz) tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 cup (8oz) small curd cottage cheese
1/2 cup (2 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded

Cook spaghetti according to package directions and drain. (You should have about 3 1/4 cups of spaghetti.) Stir butter into hot spaghetti. Stir in eggs and Parmesan cheese. Press spaghetti mixture into a buttered 10 inch pie plate, forming a crust. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and green pepper until vegetables are tender and meat is brown. Drain off any fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, and garlic salt. Heat through. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of prepared spaghetti crust. Top with meat mixture. Bake uncovered, in a 350ºF oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese atop. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted.
