1 pear cut in 1/2 in. chunks
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 T. sugar
3-4 c. romaine lettuce
Girard's champagne dressing
1/2 c. Crumbled gorgonzola cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Marinate pears in 1/2 c. dressing for 2-3 hours. Candy walnuts in saucepan over medium heat with 2 T. sugar until sugar is melted (about 10 minutes) Tear up lettuce and add pears, nuts and dressing to taste. Top with gorgonzola cheese

I sometimes add dried cranberries to this as well.
Also - Granny Smith Apples can be substituted for Pears.
