1 cup of butter
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp of baking soda in 1 1/2 Tsp of hot water
21/2 - 3 cups of flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1 cup of chopped walnuts
2 cups of real mincemeat

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 350º

Mix the above ingredients as they are listed, make a medium stiff dough. Drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned. ( about 15 minutes) Cool on waxed paper and store in a container when they are just slightly warm.
