3 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of butter
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of nutmeg
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 to 1 cup of Buttermilk
1 cup of plumped raisins ( bring raisins to boil in a little water and let them plump)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift Dry ingredients together and add the butter and work to mix like pie crust. Add enough buttermilk to form a dough. Add the well drained raisins and mix just enough to distribute.(don't over mix dough). roll out about 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake on a cookie sheet in a 350 º oven until very light brown.
