2 Cup Flour
1 Cup Sugar or 1/2 Cup Honey
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 Orange
2 Tbls Shortening
Boiling Water
1 Egg - Well Beaten
1 Cup chopped nuts
1 Cup Cranberries cut in half

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt. Combine Juice and grated rind of Orange with shortening and add boiling water to make 3/4 Cup. Add beaten egg. Combine wet and dry elements. Add nuts and cranberries. Pour into 8 1/2" X 4 1/2" X 3" loaf pan. Let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes. Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes.
