1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of shortening
2 well beaten eggs
1/4 tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla
4 Tsp of milk
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1 cup of mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup of chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream the sugar and shortening together until well blended, add the eggs and continue to beat until light and creamy. Add the vanilla and milk and mix until blended. Sift the dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Fold in the bananas and nuts. Bake in a 9x9 square pan for about 35 to 40 minutes or until it tests done.
