1 lb. margarine or butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
6 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
sprinkle of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar well, then add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Sift dry ingredients together, then add to creamed mixture.
Refridgerate dough for several hours, or overnight.
Remove dough from fridge and roll and cut with cookie cutters.Sprinkle with sugar before baking, or frost once cooled.
Bake at 350º until lightly browned.

My Aunt Fran makes these every year for Christmas. They are amazing! They have become a tradition at our house for not only Christmas, but Halloween and Valentine's Day as well. YUM!

Just a note, the thicker you make them, the softer they are.
