2 cups of sugar
1 cup of shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp of cinnamon
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of raisins
2 tsp of baking soda
4 cups of oatmeal
enough flour to make a stiff dough

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º Cream the sugar and shortening together add the eggs and continue to beat. Add the baking soda to the sour cream and combined with the shortening mixture. Add the cinnamon, oats, and enough flour to make a rather stiff dough. Drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet and bake until brown.

Ray Trautman's Mom would make these every Christmas and store them in a large kettle on the counter in her kitchen. She gave me this recipe in 1970. These are always better the next day.
