4 c peeled, sliced apples
2/3 c brown sugar
2/3 c granulated sugar
1 c water
1 tsp cinnamon

Dumpling Dough:
flour
baking powder
shortening
a little sugar
1 egg
Dampen enough to hold together with a little milk. Drop by spoonfulls on cooked apples.

Cook for 12 minutes.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients above Dumpling Dough recipe. Cook until apples are done.

Drop in Dumpling Dough and cook 12 minutes.

Serve hot with cream.

You're on your own with measurements for the Dumpling Dough. Aunt Sally didn't have a cookbook cook in mind when she copied this. It sounds good though, so give it a try.
