1 c sugar
1/3 c flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
4 c sliced fresh peaches
2 c sliced fresh strawberries
2 tsp lemon juice

2 tbsp sliced blanched almonds, crushed
2 tsp sugar

Use your favorite pie crust recipe

Heat oven to 375. For filing: combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl. Add peaches and strawberries. Drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to coat fruit with sugar mixture. Spoon into pastry lined 9 inch pie plate. Add top crust. For topping brush top crust with milk. Sprinkle with nuts and sugar. Cover edge with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil. Bake 30 - 40 minutes or until crust is light golden brown. Cool until barely warm or to room temperature before serving.
