4 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 quart milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs.
Add milk, sugar and flavoring.
Pour into baking dish or custard cups.
Set in pan of cold water.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 min.
It should be solid.
When inserted knife comes out clean, it is done.
Half of recipe is enough for one pie.

I especially liked this as a youngster prepared in custard cups - which are still in the cabinet in the farm kitchen. It would be very firm and nicely browned on top. It's a very satisfying food and would be a good breakfast dish to start the day.
