1 large head of Green Cabbage
1/2 pound of bacon diced
Garlic salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Directions:

Clean and trim the head of cabbage and cut it in half. Remove the core and slice the cabbage in thin slices. In a heavy bottomed 6 quart sauce pan brown the diced bacon until it is crisp and rendered. Add the cabbage and reduce the heat and cover until the cabbage starts to sweat down and you are able to stir it. Season to taste with garlic salt a pepper. and cook slow until the cabbage is tender.
