Taffy Apple Salad Recipe

1 16 oz. can of pineapple tidbits
4 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbls. flour
1 1/2 tbls. vinegar
1 well beaten egg
1 Cool Whip (8 oz.)
2-3 cups of diced green apples (Granny Smith or Brayburn)
1 c. Spanish peanuts (remove skins and chop)

Mix pineapple and marshmallows together. Set aside.

In saucepan, mix juice, flour, sugar, egg and vinegar. Cook until slightly thick over low heat. Let cool.

Combine with Cool Whip, then add to pineapple and marshmallows.

Mix well and chill overnight.

Add apples and nuts about two hours before serving, but not overnight.
