4 doves
4 thin slices of lemon (seeded)
4 pieces of bacon (2 inches long)
3/4 c clear chicken broth
3/4 c slightly sour whipping cream
parsley jelly

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Clean birds very carefully. Rub salt and pepper inside and out of bird and place a slice of lemon inside each bird. Tie slice of bacon over the breast of each bird. Arrange in a buttered baking dish, add broth and bake, basting often. When birds and gravy are a rich brown pour in cream. Return to oven and let cream bubble up in pan for about 1 minute, basting twice with sauce. Serve with gravy from the pan and parsley jelly.
