1 c yellow cornmeal
1 c milk
2 eggs beaten
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 c bacon drippings or salad oil
1 c cream style corn
1 lb ground beef
1 lb cheddar cheese shredded
1 onion chopped
4 to 5 jalapeño

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté ground beef until lightly brown. Drain and set aside. Combine cornmeal, milk, eggs, salt, soda, bacon drippings, corn in a mixing bowl. Pour 1/2 of cornmeal batter into a greased 13x9x2 pan. Sprinkle with cheese, crumble beef over cheese and sprinkle with onions and peppers. Pour remainder of cornmeal mix over top. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes.
