1 large jar dried beef, chopped
1/2 stick butter or margarine
4 heaping t flour
4 c milk
note: may use 1 lb of sausage in place of the dried beef.

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Add dried beef until it begins to sizzle. Add flour and quickly stir to mix flour with beef. Slowly add milk and stir until thickened completely. Serve over biscuits or toast.

Note: you may use 1 pound of sausage in place of the dried beef.

This gravy can give anyone a good day's start. Homemade biscuits are the best way to go for the gravy, but toast will suffice. The course is complemented well by a fruit dish too. This recipe can also be used for dinner time if you want to mix things up a little.
