1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
grated ring of 1 lemon
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 eggs, well beaten
2 Tbsp flour

Icing:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter with the 1 cup flour and the powdered sugar. Pat onto a 9 inche square pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes and cool.
Meanwhile, combine lemon juice, rind,eggs,sugar, 2Tbsp flour and baking powder. Spread on baked crust. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
Cool and spread with icing made by beating until smooth.
