Ingredients: Cake 1 devil's food cake mix (without pudding) 1 pkg instant chocolate pudding mix 4 large eggs 1/2 c vegetable oil 1 1/4 c coke
Frosting 1/2 c butter 1/4 c plus 2 T coke 4 T powdered baking chocolate 1 lb confectioner's sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 c chopped pecans

Directions:Mix first 4 ingredients together on low speed with a mixer, set aside
Bring coke to a boil in a small sauce pan over medium heat. With mixer on low speed, gradually pour into cake batter. Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.
Pour batter into 13x9x2 inch greased baking pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
Frosting Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar and vanilla, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans. Pour and spread over still warm cake and allow to cool |

Notes: I have forgotten to boil the coke for the cake batter with good results.
I have also substitued lemon cake mix, lemon pudding and 7-up for the cake and baked in a bunt pan. I then made a lemon drizzle of fresh lemon juice and powdered sugar and poured over the completely cooled cake.
