2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. crisco or wesson oil
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Measure first five ingredients into mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix two minutes more. Bake at 375.

This came from a Crisco label. This cake combined with her Caramel Icing receipe to follow won a blue ribbon at the fair in 1958.
