milk
water

Directions:
Mix together corn meal, egg, and enough water and milk to make batter ressemble pancake batter, maybe a little bit thicker. But add more milk than water. (For instance, if you use 1/2 a cup water use a whole cup of milk). Put enough oil to cover bottom of skillet. Add a slice of real butter when oil is hot and pour a little batter on. When bubbles appear on top, flip and add a slice of butter on top.
